• Authentication Data: Password (stored securely using industry-standard encryption)
• User Preferences: Authors, series, and books you choose to follow
• Notification Preferences: Your push notification settings and preferences
• Device Information: Push notification tokens for sending release notifications (if enabled)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your user account
• Provide personalized book release tracking based on authors and series you follow
• Send push notifications about upcoming book releases (if you opt in)
• Improve and optimize our app's functionality
• Respond to your inquiries and support requests

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a trusted cloud database provider. We implement the following security measures:

• Passwords are hashed using PBKDF2-SHA256 with 100,000 iterations
• All data transmission is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS
• Access to user data is restricted and protected by authentication

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

• Service Providers: We use Supabase for database hosting and Expo for push notifications. These providers only access data necessary to perform their services.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and safety.

5. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: View your profile information within the app
• Update: Modify your display name and password at any time
• Delete: Permanently delete your account and all associated data through the app's Settings menu
• Opt-out: Disable push notifications at any time through the app or your device settings

6. Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time by going to Profile → Settings → Delete Account. When you delete your account:

• Your account information (email, display name) is permanently deleted
• All followed authors, series, and books are removed
• Notification preferences and push tokens are deleted
• This action cannot be undone

7. Children's Privacy

Bookmark'd is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
